Bounceback: Ranger-guided twilight wildlife walk

Hosted by
National Parks and Wildlife Service
Hosted by
National Parks and Wildlife Service

Join local park rangers for an evening stroll along Wilpena Creek and look for wildlife that call Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park home.

Join our local park rangers for an evening stroll along Wilpena Creek in the stunning Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park. This ranger-guided walk offers a unique opportunity to experience the wildlife at night as well as the breathtaking landscapes that have thrived thanks to the Bounceback conservation program.

Over the past 30 years, Bounceback has played a crucial role in the recovery of threatened species, the reintroduction of native animals, and the revitalization of landscapes across the Flinders, Olary, Gammon, and Gawler Ranges. In Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park alone, the program has achieved remarkable success, including a ten-fold increase in the population of yellow-footed rock wallabies and the reintroduction of western quolls and brush-tailed possums.

As dusk settles, our knowledgeable rangers will lead you through the park's serene environment, where you’ll have the chance to spot some of the incredible species that call this place home.

Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Flinders Ranges and witness firsthand the positive impact of conservation efforts. This evening stroll offers a chance to connect with nature and learn about the ongoing efforts to preserve and protect this unique landscape.
